BOOKS and STUFF

For a woman who is supposed to be extremely intelligent Molly behaved like a total moron. The more I read the more infuriating I found her behaviour. Did it never occur to her that it was her children who were the direct heirs and should have been consulted at the very least? And why did she never know what was the right thing to wear or to go? Did she never watch television, read a newspaper or at least do a quick google search? The funny, enthralling and heartwarming story of a woman who gets a second chance in life - but will she have the courage to take it? It has been a while since I last read a Catherine Alliott, which is something I do need to rectify, as I do tend to enjoy her books.

Molly has moved from London to rural Herefordshire, chasing the Good Life. Swapping the tube for the saddle, she is living the country dream. And David is, well, rather dead now. Then a distant relative of her late husband kicks the bucket, leaving a London townhouse in her possession, and Molly dares to consider chucking it all in. But there is a problem.
