Mary Did You Know? (Book & CD) by Mark LowryThis illustrated book is a nice quality edition to have around if you are a Christian believer. The text of the iconic song is offset by biblical passages that are the source of the song lyrics’ references. It is a nice touch.
It also features illustrations by Phil Boatwright that put me in the mind of those paintings you use to see in churches. The ones that became cultural touchstones, but are not all that historically accurate. Very beautiful though.
This edition also features a Forward by Gloria Gaither, that is (like most of her writing) simple and profound all at once. There is also a letter from the song’s lyricist, Mark Lowry, on his inspiration for the text and a little back-story on its creation. A nice add on feature.
This is a lovely edition to add to your library and a perfect text to illustrate the nativity story to children & adults during the holiday season.

Much is being written this week and weekend about the presidency of Richard M. George Wallace, the Alabama governor, ran a third-party campaign and siphoned off five Southern states that might have tipped the election to the Democrats. Nixon had lost an even tighter race for the office to John F. Nixon was driven to be remembered as a great president. When Richard Nixon resigned the Presidency of the United States over Watergate in he was widely reviled as the worst ever occupant of the White House. But perceptions of his record have been changing. As the th anniversary of his birth approaches next week, a reassessment of his leadership and legacy seems timely.
